Vigno Carignan 2018
Bouchon
Vigno represents a movement to showcase old vine Carignan from the Secano Interior (dry lands) in central Chile. To be labeled Vigno, a wine must be made from dry grown bush vines that are a minimum of 35 years old, a minimum of 85% Carignan and aged for 2 years prior to release.
Bouchon's Vigno is not short of class. It's 100% Carignan and is layered with black fruits yet still has lovely vibrancy. It's soft, elegant and has supple tannins making it a perfect pair for all kinds of red meat.
If you prefer however, it would cellar well for 10+ years.
